We are situated in the picturesque village of Chipping, in the heart of the Forest of Bowland.
Family History
Our family run business was started in 1906 by William Robinson in a small shop on Talbot Street. We traded there for several decades until we decided that in order to move the business forward, we needed bigger premises with a car park for our customer’s convenience. The new shop was opened in 1985.
Family Business
Our business is now in the hands of the fourth generation of Robinson’s butchers. We supply much of our own meat from ‘Startifants’ the family farm, along with locally sourced beef, lamb and pork from farms in the surrounding area. We pride ourselves on knowing where each cut of meat originates – we are indeed a local food hero!
Other Products
In recent years, we have expanded the business and now include a range of fine preserves and pickles, a selection of cheeses and vegetables as well as home-cooked hams and of course the latest addition to the Robinson’s range – Uncle Bob’s Dairy Ice Cream
